As you are aware we are keen to use our blog to keep purchasers informed of progress and useful information regarding their purchase. We have received a number of questions from purchasers regarding projected water costs so our responses are below.
The two paragraphs below are from the sales contract:-
The price and payment page 4.7.2
The Price does not include the cost of meter connections for water and electricity which are the financial responsibility of the Buyer. The current estimated cost of meter connections for water and electricity is 300 GBP which may change at a later date. (These costs are paid to utility companies)
Management and maintenance contract. Page 18
Pay the sum of £1,000-GBP as a contribution towards the cost of the desalination plant which is to be installed in the Resort to provide the Residents with a water supply. The maintenance of the desalination plant shall be carried out by TP Management and TP Management shall supply the Residents with water from the desalination plant at cost price.
In order to maintain and run the secured water supply meters will be installed and residents will be required to pay a minimal monthly cost the same as in the UK. This will cover the costs we incur in running and maintaining the plant as well as treating sewage, and proving the water. This is in accordance with our statement above:- 'supply the Residents with water from the desalination plant at cost price.' The desalination plant is a non-profit making service.
Additionally, we are assured by the local belediye that the desalination plant will remain the property of the management company.
We have received a number of questions regarding the beach, we respond as follows:
The Bafra area is famous for its beaches, which is why we chose to invest in such a good location. Thalassa's beach has never been in public use, hence it will need to be improved. The beach area and below the water is predominately sandy although there are rocks at one end of the cove where we are planning on building the jetty to allow easy access to the water. The rest of the coastline once cleaned and improved will allow easy access to the water.
Our priority at the moment is the construction but as and when we have any news regarding the beach works, we will let you know and provide pictures.
