Thalassa Electricity Update.

The TRNC is currently under strike threat and already experiencing power cuts from Kibtec (Electricity company). This is already effecting the final stages of our connection process. As possessions are now upon us we have needed to take the decision to provide power through our generators for the interim period. This will mean that your apartment will have power connected when you arrive to take possession.

Applying for your electricity meter can only take place after we have the file opened with Kibtec therefore, for the interim period and until we advise differently, please note the following process:
  1. The management company will take power of attorneys from all clients who visit and are unable to apply for their electric during this period. Once we receive the go-ahead TPML will apply for your meter. The normal charge of £75 will be waived in this instance.(TPML will require payment to cover Kibtec's costs)
  2. As we are providing the electricity prior to the meters being connected we will NOT charge you for any electric used during this period. (You should have a constant supply for your personal use)
  3. Due to restrictions the lifts will unfortunately be out of service during this period. However, we will not allow them for the transportation of furniture etc to avoid damage and overloading, so in the future, when delivery companies are on site the lifts will be switched off. As we may still experience the full force of a strike you will be assured of having electric whilst we are using the generators as the source of power.
Please be aware that we will advise clients at their possession when we are ready to switch to mains power so they can apply for their meters and be aware that they are liable for electricity costs forthwith. Additionally we will update the blog.

Water is already connected.
