The TRNC was declared a separate country on 15th November 1983. North Cyprus is still only recognised by Turkey while it strives to get its own identity.
To celebrate the Republic Day, the Turkish Air Force will be performing a dazzling aerial display over Kyrenia harbour on Saturday 15th November at 3.30pm.
It is advisable to get there early as parking can be difficult!
