We are aware that a number of rumours are again circulating with regards to our Thalassa Beach Resort. We do appreciate that as existing owners you are contacting us and not believing everything you read as the current claims are somewhat fabricated.
Please see our responses below.
1. The court case.
Due to the dispute that arose between us and the contractors (Fullmark’s) we were both left with no option other than to terminate the contract. They now believe that we owe them money, despite the fact that we had paid them above what was contractually required. As a result of this they are seeking redress through the courts. The preliminary hearing has resulted in both sides agreeing to abide by the courts decision, however, the case will not be finalised for quite some time (18 months plus is mentioned)
Therefore, Fullmark’s claim is incorrect; they have just been clever with their wording as no settlement has been awarded.
2. Workers.
As you are aware the new construction company is EuroCoast. They are an extremely well established company here with their own workforce. The odd original worker has been lucky to secure employment with EuroCoast and is now being managed by a wholly EuroCoast team of engineers. Today at Thalassa there are 137 men on site working in all blocks from 13 to 21.
Therefore, once again, Fullmark’s claim is wholly inaccurate.
